East Tirol’s sunny capital Lienz boasts two fine ski areas, Hochstein and Zettersfeld: Families with kids, blue intermediate and black expert skiers and riders will find plenty of long, well-groomed runs here, powder and bumps. Zettersfeld, the imposing sun-drenched Alpine foothill, peaks at 2,278 meters and has a most varied terrain to suit all tastes. For many years, Hochstein Ski Resort has been a family and adventure ski destination—lots of its fans think of it as an undiscovered secret, away from the crowds and the lift lines of other ski resorts.

Ski area Zettersfeld

The ski resort Zettersfeld – Lienz is located in East Tyrol (Austria, Tyrol).
For skiing and snowboarding, there are 21 km of slopes available.
7 lifts transport the guests.
The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 1,660 and 2,278 m.
Sun worshippers and unhurried skiers feel really good on the Zettersfeld.
Sun lounges invite to relax, ski rental, ski school and infant supervision are natural.

Ski area Hochstein

Hochstein is home to one of the longest cruisers in the country — a staggering downhill run from top (1,988 meters) to bottom (668 meters).
Hochstein is a local’s favorite, famous for its many exceptional ski touring opportunities.
Many tours, such as the popular Russian Trail, have its trailhead at Moosalm Top Terminal.
